Always gloss coat. I have yet to see those who advocate no gloss needed before decalling show me that it works.

Erm actually, most of my stuff doesn't get glossed, but I use Mr Mark Setter which a lot of people don't seem to. I only use gloss if there is a texture like on the JS-3 I did recently.
I'd like to think you've seen enough of my stuff so I don't need to post it but happy to spam my models any time  :)

Not sure what you want mate, none of these used Gloss coats, I couldn't use any gloss on the NMF Liberator because of the finish and I just don't use it very often.

Sorry,i have been busy doing work and life stuff, I didn’t use a clear coat, as I have found that if the paint is smooth it doesn’t need to be gloss coated

As you can see it worked fine for me, no gloss coat anywhere, just the base coat
