For an idea of what is eligible here is a good list, which will provide plenty of opportunities for a subject:
Note: even though some of those operations start before and/or finish after the above period, GB subject must have been deployed after start of August 1990 to be eligible, and it must be a combat zone where actual combat occurred, even if the subject did not actively participate i.e. patrol, recon, sentry, etc. If in doubt, check with the admins.
No part started kits, must be a new build. Please post a photo of the unstarted kit contents and a date reference as the first post in your build thread
Craig's Modern Combat GB 2 - Hasegawa 1/72 F-16ADF
Waiting on some reference images from a friend in Italy to confirm, but plan is to build a Hasegawa F-16 ADF as an aircraft of the Italian Air Force during Operation Unified Protector in March 2011. Pics to follow.

Doesn’t seem to be the same interest or momentum around them there used to be.
Makes sense to me. I'd half like to make something for this modern combat build, but I've got other things burning brighter I want to build first, so makes no sense to enter a group build and be non-committal about it. Do or don't, no try as Yoda might say? A few months down the track I might feel differently and enter this GB, but as you say interest and momentum is vital, not just a casual window of opportunity.
The ADF has a larger bulged fin base, which Hasegawa have done on a new sprue with the ADF IFF antenna. I had some left over from a previous boxing I built as a Netz, so those will be used for this, along with the photo etched reinforcement plates.
It will be in flight, so in the process of closing up the wheel wells and making the necessary mods to the kit parts.
Had a good morning and evening at the bench today and I love how quickly these Hasegawa F-16s can be assembled. Leaving out landing gear and wheel bays makes a difference.
Upper and lower fuselage assembled, wings added, old mid-wing pylon locating holes filled and pylons added (inboard ones taken from Revell kit which have better detail), gear doors closed, tail fin assembled and fitted, hole drilled in lower fuselage where stand will attach, removed a myriad of lumps and bumps only applicable to later block jets, and started modifying the gun port.
The etched reinforcing plates come in the Hasegawa ADF kits and were added to the model.
