× For an idea of what is eligible here is a good list, which will provide plenty of opportunities for a subject: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_military_operations
Note: even though some of those operations start before and/or finish after the above period, GB subject must have been deployed after start of August 1990 to be eligible, and it must be a combat zone where actual combat occurred, even if the subject did not actively participate i.e. patrol, recon, sentry, etc. If in doubt, check with the admins.
No part started kits, must be a new build. Please post a photo of the unstarted kit contents and a date reference as the first post in your build thread

www.warfare.today/2018/04/16/raf-31-squa...os-in-syrian-attack/

April 2018 - 31 Sqn Tornado's used Storm Shadow stand-off missiles against Syrian Government targets.

Revell 1:48 kit with many extra's, not colourful in any way at all, but a 'shoe-in' for this GB. Official start-up pics in a couple of weeks after the Messerschmitt is off the bench and I've made sure that I have everything that I need.

All change - now Operation Ellamy, Libya 2011... Carry-on, chaps.

Stay tuned.

Slight change in plan:

Going to use the Italeri GR1 / IDS kit, with GR4 parts donated from the RoG kit, and changing from Operation Shader to Operation Ellamy (Libya 2011) - but only because I found the decals going cheap !!

Great stuff. Have not seen one with 4x Pave way IV.

Looking forward to your build.

I started building models, then I was collecting more than I built. Now I'm more of an archivist.

It's not great, been around about fifteen years, maybe longer, some well-known fit issues and woefully inaccurate drop-tanks... BUT, it's cheap as h*ll, easily available and all the issues with the fit are easily sorted with filler, sanding and a bit of experience.

Whose decals did you find?

There does seem to be only a very limited selection of GR4 decals on the market.

Marcus, Xtradecal in UK (Hannants own brand) do lots of sheets for the GR4 most are for anniversary schemes, however I picked-up their 617 Sqn historic sheet which has a Lancaster (no surprise), a Mosquito and four Tornado options including the one in the photo.

Got back from the family road trip to the South Island about three hours ago and pleased to find the last extras I needed for my Ellamy Tornado had arrived. Hopefully I can get a start over the next couple of days.

Stand-by, folks and thanks for your patience.

Three sessions in, and I've built (but not filled) the rear fuselage, Finished the pit and sandwiched it into the forward fuselage and built-up all of the sub-assemblies.

Knew it would be a quick build ! - filling and blending it all together is another story tho':

All Tamiya acrylics here, none of my usual Eduard pre-painted etch. Not bad for a middle aged bloke with sausage fingers and less-then-perfect vision, eh ?. Not sure about all the colours of the switches, but the canopy will be closed anyways, so won't be too obvious if there's an error or two.

Radome in the kit is about .75mm too big all around the circumference so I added a couple of spreaders from plastic strip, filler will take care of anything more.

Stay tuned.

Yep more building has occurred !

Some of the fit is frustrating to say the least. A lot of the details are questionable, but, man, Italeri know how to mold a crystal clear canopy !

Getting close to joining-up the two fuselage sections now. Am I looking forward to the filler-fest to follow - no, no I'm absolutely not. :java
