I recently started a new project. I am building a room from a long abandoned lunatic asylum. I have brought 6 PE and resin beds in 1/35 scale that I am currently assembling. These will be the main features.
Very different. I just finished reading Nothing is Impossible: A Glider Pilots Story of Sicily, Arnhem and the Rhine Crossing by Victor Miller in which he describes how the inmates from an asylum suddenly start wondering through the paras positions yelling and screaming after the buildings security was breached in the battle. So if your unique build doesn't work throw in a few red berets.
Stand aside caffine, this is a job for alcohol.

A little voice in my head said it would look great with a black and white tile floor. Last time I listen to him. Have spent the last month painting little black squares with a 5/0 brush. Finally finished tonight. Never again.
Looks awesome, but I would of sprayed it all white, and then just used masking tape and sprayed the black. You have way too much patience, I think you'll end up looking at a full sized version of that before the end lol

Not that easy unfortunately. I used patterned sheet to get a bit of 3D. V grooves between squares. Would have needed to mask to the bottom of the V. I did spray the white first. Doing the 4 side edges of the black squares is where all the hours went.
But there has to be a faster way.
Yea it nearly did my head in .........

Still plugging away at it but progress is slow. Have been working on some of the fiddly bits. I spent most of Feb and part of March in Tasmania and Adelaide which slowed things. Next week I go to Japan for the Shizouka Model Show which is always fantastic, then 2 months in Morocco Turkey and Malaysia so this will not be finished soon.
Here are a couple of pictures of what I have been doing with it. Used the hairspray and salt method on the bed base and bed ends.
