PE tool with a difference was created by olive drab
Just picked up these from BNA. Light guard folders for the PE covers on Sherman tank, M10 etc basically any allied armour that has light guards which is all of them and the kit comes with uber thick plastic ones which you you can only cover so many with a German helmet.
Shows they are used with Passion Models who sell a set just for the guards but should see no reason why not with other PE options as well.

Looks like another good thing to bang out on my 3D printer, thanks for the idea :)

I noticed that the new DML sherman comes with some kind of former for the light pe also, though maybe just a basic shape not a complete tool.

It's hardly being a pirate, if you want to blow all your money on stuff like that, that's your choice. It's only piracy if I copy them. I won't I'm just using the concept which the last time I looked you can't patent or copyright any more than you can an idea.
I bought a 3D printer and I'll be making my own designs because I can.

The point is Gary its a three tool set that solves the problem of getting the PE covers correct in shape, plastic ones are always out of scale and PE ones can be bent to reflect damage.

I wasn't looking to market them just make them for myself, as I'm making them I can ensure that they are the correct scale.

To be honest I don't really make enough of the same type of vehicle to be worth the effort, "looks about right" has always served me well enough.
Having one for making grab rails would be a different story though.
