Update time :cheer:

I ended up putting an extra link into the run after the first test fit, 104 was way too tight, it gave the track a wierd kink on the top. 105 links gave this result which I am fairly happy with B)

I had a go at marking a tarp from tissue and PVA glue. I also brushed on a coat of MIG acrylic resin over the top of that. I'll be interested to see how it paints up.

You can see in this pic the spare road wheel holder I made from strip styrene

I also glued on the PE exhaust guard

Getting close to primer for this one now, all depends when this weather bomb decides to depart

It's a wasted trip baby. Nobody said nothing about locking horns with no Tigers.

I've been digging into my shelf of shame recently. This has been next cab off the rank

I'm not sure what happened to the tarp I made, but is currently AWOL  So I made a new one. I finished the right hand run of tracks. I prepared 105 links, the same as the left side, but when test fitting, the sag was way too much. I put it down to the fact I used a 0.6mm drill bit to open the holes, as my 0.5mm bit has bust. I pulled out one link. It doesn't quite sag as much as the left, but I'll put that down to the crew over tensioning on the idler

I'll be stripping this down ready to paint at the end of the week too. Going to be a paint fest at this address :woohoo:

Here are the current WIP/finish assembly pics

I must apologise to G1 too, he sent me a parcel with various types of latex gloves to trial as a tarp on this build. They got misplaced, possibly even thrown out in one of the two house moves last year

Gosh, I remember this. Watching watching.... Funnily enough, I've just pulled out the Zero I was making and have misplaced the wheels and canopy. Not happy.

lol don't worry mate, I feel your pain I've lost the lens for the lights on the wing of my HE 219 UHU, its all done apart from that and now I can't finish it. :(
Remind me and I'll see if I've got anything I can bring up to Model-X assuming you're going, I'm doing some very long days this week so will be tired and forgetful, just remind me on Friday assuming you're going.
I can also bring some KM Weld up if there's a market for it.

I've lost count  It is like a production line :woohoo:

For the tarp I initially stretched and taped glad wrap over the opening then draped a piece of tissue paper cut roughly to shape over it. I gave it a couple of coats of diluted pva and left it to dry. Once dry I trimmed the edges and superglued it in place B)

Great to see these all moving forward. I'm going to keep going on the armour while I learn to make planes. I really want another big tank to work on, but will have to wait. A good chance to do what you're doing and finish a few things.

They're going to look SO good all together once finished. Are they from the same regiment, or time frame?

Can't believe how well that tarp turned out. The wrinkle sells it completely. This is a lovely build mate.
