Something a bit different for me.. A Helo (Hadley will be proud!:P )

Quick look over the sprues it looks to be a fairly basic kit...but should at least look like an Apache in the end! Didnt like the average seat belt detail..so i took it off will do the same with the other one. Might have something in the spares box ..if not will make some. Put the IP's together also..again..average fit but the detail is ok..no gauge faces though...dunno If I will do anything with that yet..

Any good links to reference is always appreciated!

I try and get a little bench time before work in the mornings and have been working on trying to add some interest to the sparse cockpit. So I stole some decals outta the spares box for the IP's, Added a little wiring and junction box. Most of the sidewalls etc are hidden by the seats. The seats I removed the moulded seat belts and "Textured" the seat cushions.. Also had a go at making some harnesses with some masking tape and spare PE bits...Hopefully will get it finished and the Fuselage halves together before I go on a wee break next week.

Worse part of building in my opinion..seam lines/joins... nice one right through both engine covers on the Academy AH-64...Some rescribing and riveting in my immediate future! Both of which I suck at!

I am finding my self using them more and more..the flat ones are very flexible and the curve ones can be handy for ejection pins..I use them mainly for part clean up after removing from the sprue. The key is to be patient with them I think as they are not super abrasive.
