Just took advantage of Queenie's birthday sale over at Mighty Ape and bought yet another Airbrush........... Yeah I know.
Got the Xtreme Patriot 105 Airbrush on order for $70 off.
I want to try out the high roll trigger and airvalve, I've got some fine work coming up and I want to be able to do a constant feed on a thin line, so thought I'd give this one a go.

I'm getting a bit sick of my H&S Airbrushes and constantly cleaning them. Would you recommend any of the airbrushes from MA G1?

The Badger airbrushes are in my opinion streets ahead of the H&S, I can say this because I have both. I also have most of the other well known brands so I can speak from experience when I say the Badger brushes from MA are really good.

Thanks mate, just about to pull the trigger, but I can't work out what size needle and nozzle they come with, or is that different for Badger airbrushes?

Good choice, I've just bought the next version up from that. The good thing with the Badger airbrushes is the parts are interchangeable, I broke the innner sleave on one of my Sotar airbrushes, I got a badger premium one and they just fitted. A lot of the nozzles and needles are also interchangable.
That one has the 0.3mm needle.

I can second that G1.. I have the Extreme Patriot 105 and Sotar..The H&S has now been relegated to Primers and Clears now as I definately prefer the badgers. I was surprise at how different the air delivery was on the Patriot compared to the Sotar!! Horses for Courses!! I use both for different things now!! Nice having the options!

Not really a stash addition because these will go straight on the Luftwaffe Phantom I'm building, but this arrived from Hannants after a month of travelling to me. Jeepers, look at all those stencils.

Decided it was time to get one of these and just happened to find one on TM for an OK price.

More importantly, these arrived this morning, so had an enjoyable lunch break setting them up, and I now have a better set-up for all of those finished and in-progress models.

Hi Craig,
Really like your display cases....are they from Showcases Direct in Penrose? I've been looking around for a while as the "furniture" type one I have is now full. I went and had a look at their showroom and the ones with the LED lights in the support posts looked pretty cool.
I take it assembly was straightforward? I was almost ready to take the plunge on one when the latest lockdown hit.
Cheers
Tania

Tania,
Yes they were from Showcases Direct. No assembly needed. They turned up pretty much as shown. These were a second hand pair that David refurbished. They had extra shelves (6 each instead of the usual 4) and were significantly cheaper than new which made it an easy buy for me.

I've also just got the Airfix 1/48 Tiger Moth after seeing it in Toyworld Wellington yesterday despite having one already on the way from UK. So this one will be painted as NZ civil finish and the second will be transformed into a Fox Moth.

Hey Tania
I used Nova Displays also in Auckland they came all the way down to Te Awamutu and fitted mine for me, they also do recon cabinets, definately worth checking them out.
Here's mine if you've not seen it.

Things have been trickling in via the mail this year.

Some are interesting additions. Such as this brilliant creation from Shapeways.

Little did I know they cast the floatation gear for the 1/48 RNZN Wasp.
Out of curiosity I did a search for a/m on the Wasp/Scout and . . . et voila!

So, had to buy two, because I have two kits.
One (see pic) has been sitting, part-built, since . . . ooohhh . . 1989?

Put in a bit of effort s/b the frame way back when. But the floaty bits were going to be a trial, so I consigned it to the "later" bin.

So, if you have the Fujimi, or manage to scare one up for less-than-toopid $$, you can now build the RNZN.
